The 2021-22 UCR School of Medicine Year in Review is now available for download from the SOM website.
The 28-page magazine is called "Reaching New Heights" and highlights the array of accomplishments within the educational, research, clinical, and community components of the school.
"We celebrate the successes of all of those who have worked so hard to help the people of California. I am incredibly thankful and grateful for their efforts and hope that, as you read this annual report, you will be as well," said Deborah Deas, MD, MPH, the vice chancellor for health sciences and the Mark and Pam Rubin Dean of the School of Medicine, in her introductory message.
Articles in the magazine include UC President Michael V. Drake, MD, joining the School of Medicine faculty, the School of Medicine's recognition by US News and World Report as the 11th most diverse medical school in the country, the twin White Coat Ceremonies held in August 2021, and of course the ongoing construction of the new School of Medicine Education II Building, a photo of which is featured on the cover.
Hard copies of the Year in Review are available by contacting the Office of Strategic Initiatives.
